Beginner Level
In this circle-time class, we will start the lesson by greeting each other and talking about how we all feel today (introducing emotions). I will start off by saying today I feel [xxx] and giving a reason for it. This allows the children to safely talk about their own feelings. We will begin to learn the day and date by learning the Days of the Week song and applying it to the current day. We will sing songs with a maths edge to them (5 little speckled frogs, 10 fat sausages etc) as well as...
This class is taught in English.
Students will develop their vocabulary, begin to recognise letters and numbers, enhance their social skills, communicate their ideas and emotions, begin to understand that we are all different and valued and learn about the world around them. They will learn how to listen to others, talk using past, present and future forms, and make friends. They will learn the sounds that letters make (phonics) and that written numbers correspond to the same amount of objects, which can be added or subtracted. They will learn basic 2D and 3D shapes along the way.
I am an EYFS Professional with 30 + years' experience.

Assessments Offered
An informal assessment can be provided if your child takes regular lessons. The assessments will be given at the end of each term (Christmas, Easter and Summer).Grades Offered

If you can, please read to your child for five to ten minutes a day - perhaps a story before bedtime. If they show signs of wanting to read, can they tell you the story instead?
