Parent and Me Circle Time

During this parent and me class toddlers along with their caregiver will participate in what is commonly referred to as circle time during in person classroom sessions. For this remote version of circle time we will follow a similar pattern each class. We will begin with a greeting song where we greet each child and their caregiver. We will then move on to working on content such as shapes, colors, letters, numbers and nursery rhymes. During the class I will share with caregivers ways to practice these things at home to help support their child's development. Next we will do a short movement activity to help support your child's gross and fine motor skills. For the final ten minutes of the class I will leave time for the adults to ask questions as well as converse with each other. 

While we will follow the above classroom schedule each week, we will also follow monthly themes. These themes will last for all sessions that happen during their given month. They are as follows:

September- Getting To Know You
October- Harvest Time!
November- Leaves
December- Families
January- Ice and Snow
February- Friendship
March-  Land Animals
April- Weather
May- Sea Animals
June- Fun in the Sun
July- No classes held in July
August-Getting Ready For A New School Year

Some rules to know for this class specifically and Outschool in general:
1. For parent and me classes the caregiver must be onscreen with the child at all times, this is different than with older children where adults are expected to be offscreen for the entire class.
2. Everyone must be fully clothed even very young children when onscreen. Diapers, onesies, and bathing suits are not allowed unless the cover as much as a shirt and shorts would. 
3. Topics of conversation must stay child appropriate and respectful of all in the class.
