Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this 8 week course, we will learn about basic human anatomy at a developmentally appropriate level for students 5-8 years old. (We will not be learning about the reproductive system and we will learn about the urinary system in an age appropriate way) This course combines my one-time anatomy and physiology classes into a multiple day course.

Week 1 Skeletal System: How many bones do I have?
Week 2 Skin and Muscles: Did you Know skin is our largest organ?
Week 3 Heart and Blood: How many times a minute does my heart beat?
Week 4 Lungs and Respiratory System: Our whole body needs oxygen!
Week 5 Digestive System: Where does that bite of food go?
Week 6 Urinary System: What to my Kidneys and Bladder do?
Week 7 Brain and Nervous System: The body's control center!
Week 8 Let's Review! Putting it all together!

I teach in an interactive way. I will be using google slides, short videos, hands on activities and class discussion to teach these topics. I love involving students by asking questions! Students do not need any prior knowledge of anatomy to take this class. My goal is for each student to have a fun learning and to inspire them to want to learn more about anatomy in the future!
