This will be a weekly class that will go indefinitely! Students will have the opportunity to dive deeply into the field of forensic science. We'll go over the timetable listed below. We'll also talk about recent incidents in which forensic files have been used to help solve crimes. This will allow students to discuss relevant situations and apply critical thinking to see if they can solve a real-life problem. Topics we will be going over: Week #1-The basics of forensic science (what is it?) Week #2 Digital forensics Week #3- Forensic DNA Week #4-Splatter Analysis Week #5-Identifying Teeth Week #6-Ballistics Week #7- Will not meet due to Christmas Eve Week #8-Digital evidence Week #9-Drugs & toxicology Week #10-Trace evidence Week #11-Fingerprints Week #12- Famous cases Week #13-Current or recent cases Week #14- Technology tracing We will be using lecture slides with some videos. There will be pictures with blood as we will be analyzing crime scenes. If the day lands on a holiday class we will not have class! :) example: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter

Parental Guidance
Graphic images will be shown due to showing crime scenes and blood splatters. This may be sensitive to some viewers but it is important when learning about the different materials.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
