US Grade 4 - 5
What will be taught:
Students learn to understand how most verbs form the past tense by adding -ed to the verb. Verbs following the rule called regular verbs.
Students learn to understand how some verbs do not form the past by adding -ed. Which irregular verbs have special form to show the past. 
Students will practice past tense verbs and irregular verbs by practicing to tell which are regular and which are irregular verbs. 
Students will practice how to correct past form of the verb in sentences. 
Students will practice by doing a writing challenge using past tense forms of verbs in their sentences. 
Students will learn certain patterns will help them remember the past forms of some irregular verbs.
Students will practice past tense form with have.
Students will correct a paragraph that have incorrect past tense verbs forms and write the correct form. 
How is the class taught:
Nearpod, doc cam, student engagement, discussions. 
Some knowledge of verbs in past tense is helpful.
Learning Goals
Students improve their understanding of regular and irregular verb forms. Students learn how to write better sentences using the rules of regular and irregular verbs in their writing.

Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
