Your learner will come away from this session more confident and equipped to write strong emails. We will also go through some great Gmail features to help them become for effective and efficient when writing and sending emails.

Class experience

Students will learn all parts of a proper email.
Students will write an email, referencing the guide.
Students will explore some efficient and effective Gmail features they can incorporate in future emails.
I have been a high school English teacher and counselor for 27 years. I created this lesson this year during our remote learning time, as I realized students were struggling with creating and sending proper emails. I hold a Bachelors in Writing, and a Masters in both Education and Counseling.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students are encouraged to create a free Gmail account before the session. It isn't required, but some of the features discussed will be specific to Gmail. Students should have an email account to best participate in this session.
