Description
Class Experience
At the end of this course students will be able to draw character portraits using… • Basic steps and shapes • Basic inking techniques (e.g. line weighting) • Basic coloring techniques (e.g. adding value and color themes) • References
Students will complete one final project. This project gives students the opportunity to collectively demonstrate the techniques they learned in class (e.g. sketching, inking, and coloring). Students will complete this project independently and submit it to the classroom page, or privately to the instructor via messaging, at the end of the week. Feedback from the instructor will be given to each student during the following week.

4 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
To use some digital drawing apps, an online account, signup, or login may be needed for parents and/or students. As needed, students are encouraged to use PG-13 appropriate images from external sites like Pinterest and Google Images as reference for character features (e.g. eyes, noses, mouths, hairstyles, ears, etc.).
