Homework
No enforced homework, however, students are encouraged to continue practicing the skills covered in class, and are welcome to upload their pictures to the classroom for feedback.Class Experience
In this ongoing class we concentrate on exploring your favorite Pokemon characters as foundation for learning sketching. We look at how they are drawn, and learn some fundamental skills which will make drawing more fun, and easier to understand. We ad color and maybe place the characters in a landscape. I will show learners how to gain an understanding of shapes, simple use of perspective, use of light and shade, and various ways of using marks. There will be time for playful exploration of marks, as well as observational drawing applying learners' growing abilities. I will have camera aimed at my own drawing and therefore be able to show the progress, as well as illustrating my advice and responses to learners questions as we go along. At the end of each session we summarise and share specific topics that can be revisited at a later date. Please bring soft pencils and paper ideally no smaller than A4.
