Let's explore some prehistoric animals! In a friendly and fun environment, learners are introduced to a variety of prehistoric animals, like dinosaurs, fish and reptiles. Learners will get to learn, and share, about a different prehistoric animal each week. After getting to know an animal, learners are guided to draw the said animal step by step. No previous art or drawing skills required. Each learner is encouraged to share their finished drawing to celebrate our successes! Towards the end of each teacher facilitated discussion, learners are also taught different ways to help protect our environment and living animals on our planet. Using both sides of paper, and recycled materials, are highly encouraged in this class to save money, reduce waste, and protect resources. This course has 12 different animals. Here is the weekly lesson breakdown: Week 1: Pachycephalosaurus Week 2: Ankylosaurus Week 3: Troodon Week 4: Quetzalcoatlus Week 5: Mosasaurus Week 6: Deinosuchus Week 7: Argentinosaurus Week 8: Compsognathus Week 9: Archelon Week 10: Parasaurolophus Week 11: Mastodon Week 12: Megalodon This class allows learners to develop communication skills and exploration. This is a wonderful way to introduce environmental education at a young age. This class touches on subjects like Environmental Education, Science, Technology, Arts, Math, Mindfulness and Language Arts. Photo Credit: Fausto Garcia Menendez on Unsplash
