Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Learners will be designing a fish adapted to various aquatic habitats in this fun and engaging class. Whether you like fish or other animals, this class can apply to many species! This class will introduce learners how fish have many different features that allow them to adapt, for example, body shapes and colors. Learners will be taught in detail how many features allow a fish to survive through adaptation. Learners will get to design their very own fish that they believe will survive in a given habitat. Then, each learner will be encouraged to present their hard work in a friendly and encouraging setting. Learners will be encouraged to explore nature and protect species through easy conservation messages that can be applied to daily life. This class touches on topics and skills in Science, Expressive Arts, Environmental Education, Language Arts, Mindfulness, and Social and Emotional Skills.

Most learners will be creating their design from scratch. However, a fish template is available for learners who wish to not create one. A PDF attachment is provided when a learner has been enrolled in the class. Please print it before class starts and have it ready for your unique creation!

Classes will be conducted in a friendly, mindful, and welcoming environment. Learners are encouraged to share and ask questions during class. Learners who wish to not share or ask questions are very much welcome as well. Class will be interactive and visual.

**Please be assured that class will occur even with only 1 learner enrolled.
