This is one of my children's favorite learning games. I will put dinosaur nests on the whiteboard behind me. Ideally, players will get a turn to roll a dice at home or I can roll one for them. The number on the dice stands for how many sight words they can try to read. If they read them correctly, the baby dinosaur goes into the nest. If they read them incorrectly, the baby dinosaur goes back into the pile for a new chance on the next turn. The sight words in our dinosaur pile include: day, find, to, her, if, so, they, up, am, an, did, no, on, we, who, but, get, of, out, she, he, my, two, way, by, all, it, there, been, and, been, come, from, have, how, is, see, when, to, that, had, him, in, not, this, them, use, were, you, can, has and then. I know that seems like a lot but each time they play, students will get better and more familiar with the sight words. Each week will be the same, playing the game using all of the words from the word list above. This is an ongoing course where learners can join for as many or few weeks as they like. Please bring a die with you to class. If you don't have one, I can also roll for your learner instead.

Please bring a die / dice to class with you. If you don't have one, I can roll here for you but it's more fun for learners to have their own.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Science from Eastern Michigan University
Hello parents and students,
I encourage learning through enthusiastic engagement. I believe children learn best through curiosity or play. Teaching online has been my passion since 2015. I was an online English teacher with VIPKID for over three years and an Outschool teacher for ever since. Over the years, I have learned how to engage with students in a virtual setting. I encourage student output and participation during class.
I have a bachelors degree in marketing and science. I am an entrepreneur and business owner. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. I am a homeschooling mother to my twin sons and my two daughters. I am constantly seeking creative ways for my children and students to learn new things.
