In this ongoing 30-minute course we will be learning about a different dinosaur or prehistoric animal each class. Each week we will discuss where and when these animals lived, where their fossils were found, how they were fossilized, their diet, size, and the habitat in which they lived. Initially these will be chosen by myself, but after the first class, the dinosaurs or prehistoric animals will be chosen by the learners. Students will learn about a different prehistoric animal each week, where, when, and how they would have lived, and develop communication skills through asking and answering questions, and the discussion portion near the end of class.
I have both a Bachelor's of science and Master's degree in Earth Science, with a focus in paleontology, and have previously worked at a UNESCO fossil world heritage site.
