US Grade 1
Welcome to first grade in our Flex course! This course is designed to be flexible for any schedule or time zone, with no live classes. Instead, each week will feature interactive quizzes and Kahoot challenges where learners can compete and strive to achieve the best or fastest score. Video lessons will also be provided, allowing learners to watch, pause, and review as needed. Our Outschool classroom will be an engaging hub for sharing worksheets, science journals, homework assignments, MadLib stories, pictures, and videos. Science video lessons will be accompanied by science journals, a supply list, and step-by-step instructions, enabling learners to follow along at home. Each week, learners will engage in puzzles that involve adding and subtracting to decode our "sentence of the week", promoting handwriting, spelling, and reading skills. Additionally, word families of varying lengths will be practiced, enhancing rhyming abilities. Optional homework worksheets corresponding to our lessons will also be shared. In terms of teaching style, I strive to make learning as fun, lively, and entertaining as possible. I incorporate props, a whiteboard, puppets, magnets, and silly voices to keep young learners engaged. As a mother of four children myself, I understand the importance of lively online learning experiences. For those new to online learning, patience is key, and sitting with your child during the initial lessons can help them become fully engaged. I value communication with learners throughout the course, encouraging feedback and interaction. Let's embark on this exciting learning journey together!

Bachelor's Degree in Science from Eastern Michigan University
Hello parents and students,
I encourage learning through enthusiastic engagement. I believe children learn best through curiosity or play. Teaching online has been my passion since 2015. I was an online English teacher with VIPKID for over three years and an Outschool teacher for ever since. VIPKID taught me how to engage with students in a virtual setting. They taught me how to use props, singing and demonstrations to increase learning. I encourage student output and participation during class.
I have a bachelors degree in marketing and science. I am an entrepreneur and business owner. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. I am a homeschooling mother to my twin sons and my two daughters. I am constantly seeking creative ways for my children and students to learn new things.
