Class Experience

Beginner Level
This is a short self-paced class on developing your happiness using a model called the SPIRE Model of Happiness. The class covers what the SPIRE Model of Happiness is and how it can be used to decrease stress and anxiety in our lives and increase our happiness.  The class delves into each of the five SPIRE elements and the small changes that can be made under each element that will lead to more happiness and less anxiety. It is through small changes that a difference can be made. I will focus on how to create a healthy mind and body through mindfulness, exercise, gratitude's, journaling and positive affirmations to name a few. At the conclusion of this class the students will have a short assignment that can be done on their own time and can be for their eyes only. The assignment will not be graded. The goal of the assignment helps guide the students on a plan to make small changes that will decrease the stress and anxiety in their lives.

Lesson 1:
SPIRE Model of Happiness - Developing Your Happiness
 This lesson focuses on using the SPIRE Model of Happiness to make small changes in your life that decrease stress and anxiety and lead to a happy life. We will go over the meaning of SPIRE then delve into each of the five SPIRE elements and the small changes we can make under each element to increase our happiness. We will cover mindfulness, exercise, journaling, gratitude's and positive affirmations to name a few. The class concludes with a short self-paced non-graded assignment.

Hello! I am Miss Joelle. I hold a Master's Degree in Happiness Studies. I am also a Certified Happiness Coach and a Certified Happiness Trainer. My classes focus on teaching students how to live a happy life by introducing tools and techniques needed to decrease anxiety and stress within their lives while also providing an overview and background on happiness. I feel these classes are important for today's youth as they face a tremendous amount of pressure. Happiness Studies is something I feel is needed as part of every child, teen and young adults' education. These are valuable life-long lessons. Helping my two young children through tough situations they were facing in daily life inspired me to pursue my background in Happiness Studies and become a coach. Helping others feel happier, less anxious and less stressed is my passion.
