Class Experience

This is a short self-paced online class in which students will be taught about emotional reframing. We will define emotional reframing and go over its importance. Students will learn that many negative experiences and situations can be looked at in a more positive way. This class will cover the negative thought patterns that exist. Through learning about the negative thought patterns, the students will learn to identify a negative thought when they experience one. The students will then learn to question the negative thought and finally replace the negative thought with a more positive feeling. I will take the students through examples of negative thoughts and then show them how to reframe these thoughts. Once the class concludes the students will be given a short non-graded self-paced exercise in which they will identify some negative thoughts they have or had and then using the techniques we learned replace these thoughts with more positive feelings. The students can then reflect on these thoughts and take note on how they feel after viewing their negative thoughts more positively.
Learning Goals
The goal will be for the students to view perceived negative situations or experiences and learn how manage these challenges by using emotional reframing.
