In this 15-week course, students will fill their town of Newcrest, building houses and public buildings, and designing characters to live in their town!

In this 15-week course, you, as the mayor of Newcrest, will design a town you'd love to live in! 

Create 2 sims, yourself and a favourite celebrity to be a household in the Sims.

Homes and Private Lots

Create a home for your "family" to live in. We will focus on basic building tips and tricks, and a few cheats to make it easier. 

Dreamhouse

When I recorded this, I hadn't gotten the "For Rent" expansion pack yet, but it would be perfect for this! If using that pack, create 6 apartments, not 8.

I will show you how to build both a houseboat and a house with an "under water" basement.

This is a BIG build--feel free to take some extra time with this! 

Luxury Mansion

Treehouses are some of the most-fun things you can build (in my opinion). I can't wait to see what you come up with!

The "Tiny Stuff" kit is so much fun, and great for this challenge. But again, you can do this without them--you just won't get the lot benefits by having a tiny house.

Both of these are lot types available in base game, so you can choose which you want to build, or do both. I will create both for you.

I'm using the "Dine-Out" pack, but students can design a non-functioning restaurant if they don't have the pack.

Optional: use the gym expansion pack, but it is not necessary!

Museums are one of the base game lot types, so everyone can do this without any expansion packs!

There isn't a lot type for movie theaters, but they are fun to build anyway! The "Get Famous" pack has a lot of cool things to use in this build, but again, it isn't necessary!

Again, having some different packs (high school years, university) would help, but aren't necessary!

Here are a couple extra challenges for you! First is another family home, done in neutral colours, and then a zombie apocalypse shelter--huge, underground, complete with everything dozens of sims might need to survive!
