US Grade 3 - 6
In this Sims game, students will fill their town of Newcrest (the map with no buildings in it, available in the base game), with lots of public buildings and houses. I will be using various expansion packs, but none of these are necessary! Each class will start with a sample build, some tips and tricks (such as cheats and keyboard controls), and a look at the gallery and/or google images for inspiration, then a speed build video where I build/create the challenge for the week. Each week, students will be given a task and list of things to include in their build. The best way to get in touch with me is to send me a message. I aim to respond within 24 hours, although that may be delayed on the weekends occasionally. Each week includes a video (or 2) where you can build along with me. I'll walk you through everything, from choosing a lot, cheats to make it easier, required items, etc. Of course, if you have questions I don't answer in the video, feel free to message me and/or send pictures so I can help you out. Each week's video will be about 10 minutes long, but depending on how fast you build, will take varying times to create your own build. Some of the smaller builds (like a library, tiny home, and pool) may only take an hour, but the apartment, mansion, and school take a lot longer. Feel free to simplify it for yourself if you'd like.
Learning Goals
Students will learn new building strategies in Sims 4.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello all! I'm so excited to get to know you and see you in the classroom! I have 7 years of teaching experience and love to teach all ages and subjects. I have my M.Ed in teaching, and most of my teaching experience is in upper elementary and ESL education. Classes I offer include French, writing, life skills, Harry Potter, elementary science and math. If there is a class you're interested in that isn't scheduled, please shoot me a message so we can work something out!
Everything I do in the classroom stems from the belief that every child can learn. I also believe that my job as a teacher is first to keep my students safe (physically, emotionally, etc.), then to help them learn, then to help them have fun. I try to make my classes as fun as possible to keep students engaged because I really believe learning can be enjoyable!
