Beginner - Intermediate Level
Each session in this engaging coding club for 9-13-year-olds focuses on passion-driven projects, collaborative learning, and fun activities. It's a discovery-oriented environment with a focus on Blockly, JavaScript, or Python. Students enjoy interactive sessions including a 10-minute video lecture, 40 minutes of hands-on project work, and a 10-minute group discussion to showcase their achievements. The club emphasizes personal growth in coding, with a small group setting (max 6 students) led by a certified instructor, ensuring a personalized learning experience.
Learning Goals
In this club, participants explore the dynamic field of computer programming, experiencing the role of a software engineer.
They'll tackle challenges to building and programming animations using Blockly, JavaScript, or Phyton, gaining practical programming and project creation skills. The club emphasizes understanding algorithms, logic, and procedures, which are vital for software engineering.
Guided by an instructor, students will develop their programming abilities, stepping closer to becoming proficient programmers.
This hands-on experience is ideal for nurturing budding software engineers.
