Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 9
Solving Systems of Equations is an intensive four-session program designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of how to solve systems of linear equations using multiple methods. This course focuses on building skills in graphing, substitution, and elimination, while emphasizing real-world applications that show how these techniques are used beyond the classroom. Each 60-minute session is structured to reinforce learning through interactive lessons and hands-on problem-solving activities.

Students will learn to:
Solve systems of linear equations using graphing.
Apply the substitution method to solve systems algebraically.
Use the elimination method to solve systems efficiently.
Tackle real-world word problems that involve systems of equations.

Each class begins with a brief warm-up to review and reinforce prior knowledge. This is followed by direct instruction with visual demonstrations and examples. The main portion of the session includes guided practice, where students solve problems alongside me, and interactive discussions. Classes conclude with a review of key concepts and time for questions to ensure thorough understanding.

My teaching method combines clear, step-by-step instruction with interactive learning techniques. Visual aids, whiteboard illustrations, and collaborative problem-solving activities are used to help students see and understand each step of solving systems. Real-world applications and examples are integrated to make the material relatable and engaging.

I aim to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring new concepts and asking questions. My teaching style is adaptive, focusing on breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps. I use positive reinforcement and provide constructive feedback to help students build confidence and mastery of the material.

Students will have ample opportunities for interaction throughout each session. I encourage questions during lessons, foster group discussions during guided practice, and create collaborative exercises where students can share their problem-solving strategies. The class is designed to keep students actively engaged and ensure personalized attention where needed.

By the end of Crash Course 3, students will be proficient in solving systems of linear equations using multiple methods and will have developed problem-solving strategies that apply to real-life situations. This course builds a strong foundation for further math courses and helps students feel confident in their algebraic skills.
