Class: Systems of Equations by Graphing!

In this engaging one-day class, students will learn how to solve systems of equations by graphing and identifying the point of intersection. We will cover:
✔ Graphing two equations on the coordinate plane
✔ Types of solutions: one solution, no solution, and infinite solutions
✔ Real-world applications of systems of equations

The class is structured with a step-by-step approach:
🔹 Mini-lesson with visuals and examples – I’ll use slides and interactive demonstrations to break down the process of graphing equations.
🔹 Guided practice – We’ll work through problems together to build confidence.
🔹 Independent practice – Students will solve problems on their own with my support.
🔹 Game time! – We’ll wrap up with an exciting speed-up game to reinforce learning in a fun, competitive way. For this student will use software called Lumio where they have to login. They are encouraged not to use their name but their information will be deleted after the class is over. 

My teaching style is interactive and supportive—I encourage questions and discussion to ensure everyone understands the material. Students will interact with me and their classmates through live discussions, problem-solving activities, and game-based learning.

By the end of class, students will have a solid grasp of graphing systems of equations and feel more confident tackling these problems in school and beyond!

Parental Guidance

At the end of class, students will play a competitive game race car math game with a software called Lumio where students have to login. They will be recommended to login as a guest and not include their name. An account will not be required, but students will have to login. Pre-Requisites

Students should be familiar with how to graph a line from an equation and identifying the slope and y-intercept from an equation

Supply List
