Comprehend & Conquer: 1 On 1 Literary Text Tutoring for Comprehension Skills

In this one-on-one tutoring class, students will develop critical comprehension skills of Literary texts tailored to their needs and learning style. Many students struggle with comprehension, but with guidance and practice, they can learn steps to make understanding and recall easier. 

Learners will be taught how to analyze literary texts with confidence, focusing on skills like inference, prediction, identifying themes, understanding cause and effect, and exploring tone, character, and resolution.Topics include literary elements (setting, conflict, point of view, and theme), analysis techniques (compare and contrast, inference, and prediction), and overall reading comprehension strategies.

The session begins with a brief introduction to the day's focus, followed by engaging activities such as discussion, games, and text analysis exercises. Each class concludes with a wrap-up to reflect on what was learned and set goals for the next session. This class uses interactive methods to keep learners engaged. Activities include games to reinforce concepts, video clips to illustrate ideas, guided text readings, and discussions to deepen understanding.

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and adaptable. I cater to individual needs, including ADHD and dyslexia, and tailor each session to build on the learner's strengths while addressing challenges. Learners will interact with me continuously throughout the session through guided discussions, interactive games, and personalized feedback. Active participation is encouraged to foster a deeper understanding of the material.
