Studies show that over 90% of successful people wake up early and follow a strict morning routine. A morning routine helps an individual start their day with a positive and organized mind. This is a skill that is important to be implemented at a very young age. Many kids also struggle with sleeping on time, tidying up before bed and/or getting ready in the morning. This is why I have created this mini course for kids to easily implement a healthy morning routine according to their lifestyle and needs. Research has also shown that having someone to be accountable for as we set the goal increases the chance of the goal being achieved. This is why in this class, everyone will take up a challenge to follow through an organized routine. I will also be a part of this challenge and stay accountable to my students. We will also discuss setbacks and tips and techniques we can use for handling them. This class will only have up to 5 students. This way, everyone will get enough time to speak. This class is open to all kinds of students. I like to incorporate learning for everyone. I highly recommend this class for students who have ADHD and/or are on the spectrum, since this can help them with their executive functioning skills. If your child has a learning disability and/or requires special techniques for learning, please feel free to message me and I will do my very best to provide your child with the best experience. I will be providing handouts that students will be asked to print out before class starts. In the handouts, we will fill in our bedtime and morning routines together. The basic routine that I will talk about is the following: Bedtime routine: - Tidy up toys - Take a bath - Brush teeth - Use the washroom - Put on pjs Morning routine: - make bed - brush teeth - get dressed - comb hair - eat breakfast As a class, we will keep each other accountable to follow through the specific routine. In the first class, we will work on a healthy bedtime routine. The handout will provide a checklist for the next 7 days for the students to follow. In the second class, we will share our charts with each other and discuss what worked and what we can do better next time. We will then work on a healthy morning routine and follow the same format. In the last class, we will have a longer discussion portion and I will provide a few tips and tricks on how we can keep this practice going. Week 1: - Getting to know each other. - Introduction to bedtime routine - Building a bedtime routine together. Week 2: - Check-in about bedtime routine. - Discussion about what we will do better next time. - Introduction to morning routine - Building a morning routine together. Week 3: - Check-in about morning routine. - Discussion about what we will do better next time. - Tips and techniques for following through our routines.
