Confident Communication Camp : Become a Public Speaker Everyone Wants to Hear

This course is designed to boost your child's self-esteem, confidence, and verbal and non-verbal communication. I am a strong believer in learning through play and my classes and teaching style reflect that. I will provide a lot of fun games and activities that kids will enjoy as they strengthen their communication skills. In this class, I will create a learning environment where students will enjoy themselves and feel comfortable enough to take on challenges and motivate each other as well as provide constructive feedback to each other for further improvement.  

The main focus of this class is non-verbal skills and the way we present ourselves. Young learners will feel confident in the way they speak as well as learn how to develop a presence in front of an audience. We will learn all the components of making a good presence and effective communication.

🎤 Demonstrating effective non-verbal communication.

The following is a breakdown of the 5 classes: 

Day 1: Self-introduction
 - Who we are and how to present ourselves in the best possible way. 
- It's not just about what you say but how you say it. 
- What's the right way to talk about yourself.
- Difference between bragging and showing confidence. 

Day 2: Body language and eye contact
- Confidence is also how we present ourselves; we will learn how to beat nervousness and anxiety when it comes to showing eye contact and be able to maintain eye contact through fun games and activities. 
- We will learn body language do’s and don’ts as well as the secret power poses that increases our overall confidence. 

Day 3: Tone of voice, articulation, enunciation, vocal intonation
- Sounding confident is highly important in public speaking and we will do voice exercises to increase confidence in the way we speak. 

Activity: Bring your favourite toy and talk about it using what we learned. 

Day 4: Hand gestures and impromptu 
- We will learn the secret hand gestures that powerful and charismatic use and put it to practice. 
- Final assignment will be given! 

Day 5: Putting it all together
- We will put all of the public speaking elements we learned together as we present the final assignment.  
- Feedback and next steps for improvement will be provided.
