Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
Beginner Level
Has your learner been learning to read beginner words and sentences? Are you looking for a new, fun and engaging way to practice these beginner skills? This class is a Reader's Theater for very beginner readers! They can read, control the props to "act out" the lines of the play, and engage with others. This will allow them to practice their foundational reading skills over and over in a fun setting!

The learner will receive:
-The script for the class.
-Colored and black/white props to print, cutout and bring to class
-Video support by the teacher so readers feel comfortable reading the sentences.

Each week will be a new script and topic.

Some of the topics for the reader's theater are:
"Cat and Dog"
"Rat and Cat"
"Dogs and Cats can Run"
"Rats and Cats can Dig"

-The words will be very simple to read by the accompanying slides will add the fun to the class! For example, "Dog digging into a hamburger!" "Cats and dogs running from a funny character." This will allow all learners to practice reading CVC words and beginning high frequency words while having a fun, fun time!

If your reader would prefer to listen to others read and read along silently, that is perfectly fine! If they are ready to listen to the letter sounds and words before participating in the reading part, that is fine with me! I want your learner to feel welcomed, included and supported right where they are now.

Message me if you have any questions, at all.

I am always happy to connect!
Thank you, so much, for coming by my class page!
Teacher Angela :)
