This is an advanced beginner to intermediate class. I require the students to already have basic knowledge of ballet terminology, to feel comfortable using one hand on the barre and to have already been a part of or currently in a ballet program. Overall, this is a fun class that focuses on teaching correct ballet techniques positively while encouraging ones confidence and knowledge. In this class the student will be a part of a traditional ballet class with barre and some center work. I will demonstrate all the combinations and the student will practice each combination to music. We will focus on turnout, core strengthening, proper placement and alinement. This ballet barre will included different combinations that includes plies, tondues, rond de jambe, fondus, frappe, adage, grand battement, stretches, and also some center work (without the barre) while shifting through all first to sixth positions. This is a great ballet workout for any advanced beginner even in a small space. If you are not sure if this class is right level for you or your age please message me and I will make sure we find the best fit that will serve the student. Also, I love teaching private lessons. If a student is an absolute beginner or is interested in extra personal attention to improve their skill I can always work out a schedule that suits the student.
Learning Goals
To have a happy and confident atmosphere while improving and strengthening one ballet techniques. I personally feel that the fundamentals of dance come for having great ballet technique which starts at the ballet barre.

Supply List
Barre: The student will need something to hold onto. A chair with a back is great to use if one does not have a portable ballet barre. Clothing: Please wear clothing you feel comfortable moving in. Students are welcomed to wear any leotards and tights/ leggings, shorts, t-shirts and workout clothing. I do encourage tighter fitting clothing so I can see the shapes of the student's body Foot wear: Depending on what floor the student will be using a student can use ballet slippers, sock or even bare feet (please no pointe shoes). Money: Please do not feel that you have to spend any money on buying a ballet barre or equipment for this class. This class was meant to work with the materials that you already have around you.
