Class Experience

Calling all Ballerinas! 🩰

In this ongoing course, students will receive ballet instruction, encompassing fundamental moves, techniques, and terminology, infused with an enjoyable twist on classical ballet.

👉Please note that this intermediate course is an extension of beginner ballet. It's important that your dancer knows and has mastered the following moves: the five basic ballet positions, plié, tendu, relevé, rond de jambe, battement, and arabesque. This prerequisite knowledge ensures we can move quickly to cover warm-up, stretching, center floor exercises, across-the-floor movements, and sample routines within the time constraints. 👈

WHAT TO EXPECT:
1. The session begins with "shares," where students are encouraged to share the highlights of their week.
2. Followed by an energetic warm-up, incorporating cardio exercises to stimulate blood circulation.
3. Next, Light stretching to minimize the risk of injuries.
4. Finally, center floor activities introduce ballet positions, movements, and terminology.
5. Lastly, students have the opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge by participating in a sample routine.
6. If time permits, a freeze dance will also be included in the session.

HOW TO PREPARE:
Students are asked to dress casually, find an open space, and be prepared to move!

🛑 IMPORTANT NOTE 🛑
This course is designed for group learning, so feedback—both positive and constructive—will be provided as a whole, regardless of section size. If you prefer personalized or more tailored instruction, feel free to contact me about private lessons.

🎶 MUSIC 🎶
The music for this course is carefully chosen from popular children's films, and undergoes screening to ensure it is free from inappropriate content including language or suggestive material. However, warm-up and freeze dance tracks are specifically selected for their lively and engaging nature. For those interested in a traditional ballet experience, I highly recommend my “Classical Ballet” or “Intermediate Ballet” courses, designed to adhere to more traditional classical ballet standards.

🎤 CLASS EXPECTATIONS (MUTING)🎤
While I do my best to encourage participation from learners enrolled in my classes. Learners will be muted following introductions (discussion likely opened again during exit in which you may choose to leave prior) due to background noise that cannot be prevented and it’s interferences with music/instruction.
