Class experience
Makeup is extremely personal and different for each person. This lesson gives an individual, who is new to make up, a chance to focus on their personal needs, while learning how to cleans, apply and emphasize their own personal features. One will get individual attention and advice to find their personal colors, undertones, and textures that are personally right for them. I have been a professional performer in NYC for 15 years. With auditioning and performing makeup has become an essential to my life and my career. I have worked with many makeup artists and want to share all the techniques and secrets that I have learned over the years with you!
I encourage the student to bring questions that they have about makeup and bring their own makeup. One does not need to bring their own makeup. Watching, listening and taking notes is fantastic! Parents or guardians will NOT need to purchase any extra makeup for this class. If a student is bring makeup to the class and has not used the makeup please note about allergies in the "Parental Guidance" section. These are the basic materials that I will be using and discussing for the class: Face moisturizer Primer Foundation Contour/ Highlighter Concealer Eye shadows Blush/ Bronzer Mascara Eyeliner Lipstick/ Lip gloss Eyebrow pencil Mirror Brushes/ Sponges.
If the student is using new makeup, that they have never experienced, I recommend to test the makeup before class to prevent an allergic reactions. I would do a patch test 24 hours before the lesson to prevent any reactions to the makeup during class.
