We will learn through demonstration, discussions, and lots of practice! If students have any questions about specific signs, I will create a video clip to teach the students.

Each Sunday throughout the course, I will post our class video for the students to watch. Each class will have a list of 20-40 signs, sentences, and/or stories to learn. There will also be a bonus video at the end of each class to give the students extra practice opportunities.

The students also will be encouraged to interact throughout the course by participating in weekly discussions, creating and sharing weekly videos, and asking questions.

This course will be tons of fun!!!

If your student already knows 500 signs (or more) and is familiar ASL grammar and classifiers, or has taken my previous courses, then this is the class for them! If not, then Part 1 will be a good starting point, this course is called: Learn to Sign in 10 Classes. I am looking forward to learning, laughing, and signing with your children soon!!

I have been fluent in ASL for 10 years and have been a translator for many events and conferences. I have also taught ASL to students ages 4-20 in many courses over the years. I teach grammar, classifiers, vocabulary, and translations. I have my double certificate in ASL from International Open Academy and am heavily involved in the Deaf community in my area. I love teaching ASL! I am excited to expand my knowledge to your children through this course!
