Homework
*After each lesson, students will get digital copies of the ASL words to practice, as well as fun games to do in ASL to keep up with their vocabulary and skills.Assessment
Homework assignments in this course will be diverse and based on classroom activities. Each week, students will have the option to engage in various forms of homework, including practicing their skills through provided links or uploading videos of themselves completing sign language assignments. Participation in these assignments is not mandatory but is highly beneficial for skill enhancement. Additionally, some homework may be accessible through Nearpod, for which no account creation is required. The intention is to offer students flexible opportunities to practice and reinforce their learning every week, although completing these assignments is not a requirement for all students.Class Experience
Beginner - Advanced Level
**If you do not see a time that matches your schedule, please request a time.** One-on-one and small group American Sign Language tutoring lessons are ideal for beginner-level ASL signers who are in preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, or homeschooled. Whether your children want to improve vocabulary and language skills, increase comprehension, or just practice becoming more fluent... then Ms. Trina’s ASL Kids Club can help! In order for your children's teachers to prepare for these lessons, please share information regarding your children's educational experiences, ages/grades, areas of strength, areas in need of support, etc. To accelerate their learning and maximize engagement, lessons will be customized to their learning goals and interests. We love creating interactive, immersive lessons that interweave students' academic and linguistic goals with their interests and passions. Private lessons provide students with opportunities to work at their own pace, maximize learning time, receive a high level of attention, and have lessons tailored to their learning styles, interests, and needs. Please send us a private message if you would like to schedule alternative times for private tutoring for your children, and we will work together to find a time that works best for all of us! If you have specific requests for lesson content or activities, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance. Your topic requests may also be covered in the next lesson. This will provide the teachers with sufficient time to prepare the lessons. **After each lesson, students will get digital copies of the ASL words to practice, as well as fun games to do in ASL to keep up with their vocabulary!** *Our classes are 100% inclusive"
