Class experience
ASL Club is for advanced or fluent signers. Each month the students will be assigned a really neat project related to ASL or Deaf Culture. Every month the students will present their projects and discuss it using only ASL! We will also play games and have bonus ASL activities along the way! The learning goals for this club is for students to learn more about Deaf culture, Deaf history, practice ASL conversation skills, connect with other fluent signers.
I have been fluent in ASL for 10 years and have been a translator for many events and conferences. I have also taught ASL to students ages 4-20 in many courses over the years. I teach grammar, classifiers, vocabulary, and translations. I have my double certificate in ASL from Gallaudet University and International Open Academy. I am also heavily involved in the Deaf community in my area. I love teaching ASL! I am excited to expand my knowledge to your children through this course!
Once the students are enrolled, I will provide all PDF links needed for this course.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
