The men who crafted the constitution of the United States are as interesting and diverse as the nation that they created. Throughout history there have always been brave, bold and talented people who build nations and lead people from all walks of life and various backgrounds. This course will cover the men who created a new nation and put their vision of freedom into practice. They did not always agree but each made their voices heard and made their mark on the nation that they all desired to build. Through lecture, artworks and literature we shall explore the not so distant past of the United States of America. I hope that interesting facts, lively discussion and engaging stories will bring the world of early American History to life. I plan to show artworks and lay out the biographies of the above notable figures of the period. I will do this through lecture, discussion and art history principles. The future for many changed because of these select few covered in this class: George Washington: Biography and artworks Benjamin Franklin: Biography and artworks Thomas Jefferson: Biography and artworks Alexander Hamilton: Biography and artworks In this class I will use art history principles to help students understand the material and to get a better sense of who the listed framers of the constitution were and what personal achievements and beliefs helped influence their input into building our nation.
Learning Goals
Students will be introduced to a few of the men that can be credited with building America. Details noting descriptions of their lives will enlighten and inform students about our early history of the U.S. Understanding the beliefs and principles held by noted framer in this course will provide a good foundation as to the early history of the United States.

Parental Guidance
I will show history as it really was. The new nation of the United States was not without it's flaws, slavery is an issue addressed in this course but always with the idea of understanding more about how history really unfolded.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

In this class I hope to use various sources textbooks and art history books are among some of the sources that inspire me and I like to use a wide range of sources. Any Artworks are public domain but History Textbooks and Art History will be the material that I use for this course.
