Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
In this lesson, students will learn the history of how the Remarkable Bessie Coleman became the first African American Female licensed pilot. They will be able to understand the struggles she faced as a black female and how she overcame them. We will talk about her early life, her life as a pilot and her lasting impact on society. They will understand how she did not let the words, "can't, "No" or rejection stop her from being one of the most inspiring women in history. Students will learn how she defeated racial and gender discrimination. Each student will have an opportunity to kindly share their thoughts in class. I will see you in class :)

Sometimes, class may go over 30 minutes as I love to give every student the opportunity to speak in class.
