Lights, camera, action!

Join us for a fun and energizing class to practice your acting skills with scene-reading! Learners will be provided a script at the start of class and will do a "cold" read. Then we will discuss what is happening in the scene, character motivations, possible actor choices, and different ways to present the scene.

We will read the scene with a couple of different possibilities/view points. Then we will give the actors the chance to “add-on” a couple of lines of their own. They can attempt to improv more scenes if time allows.

Most, if not all the scripts from this class will be pulled from Internet Movie Database in the family/adventure genre.

Learners will be given feedback, ideas, or possibly switch roles (stay flexible). Learners can choose to just observe their first class, but are expected to participate going forward. Our goals are to have fun, practice, improve and build self confidence!
