Let’s grow our vocabulary and confidence in public speaking each week with this highly interactive class!

Public speaking is the #1 most common fear for adults. In addition to that, many people struggle to express themselves clearly due to having a weak vocabulary.

Our goal is to make it a fun adventure for learners so that they will become confident and comfortable while learning new words each week!

We use the Merriam-Webster recommended vocabulary list for learners ages 8-12 that provides 8 new words each week.

Learners will read words and definitions aloud, make up sentences, discuss the part of speech and come up with some synonyms to aid in our understanding.

Then we will play a Kahoot or Bingo game to help retain the information. We will also incorporate different games and public speaking prompts as time allows.

The weekly lists are published on Mondays. We will use the prior week’s list in class.
