Beginner Level
Get $5 off your first class! Use code: GREENFRST5 This ongoing class will give learners a fun and interactive way to use their imagination while practicing their storytelling and public speaking skills. This class is designed for beginning readers and ESL Students. We start by sounding out vocabulary words individually. Then we will re-read the vocabulary words. From there, we will read a sentence. After that we will try read a whole paragraph! Vocabulary words will be pulled from our level 1 Spelling Bee lists, so this is a wonderful class to combine with our Spelling Bee classes. We may refer back to the alphabet if necessary. Then, they will create their own story - with an emphasis on grammar, sentence structure and speaking clearly. This is an excellent way to help learners who are learning English or those that might be uncomfortable speaking up in a group setting. This will also encourage correct grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary and speaking clearly while having fun! Since this is an ongoing class, learners can start or stop at anytime. Each week's story will be different and will not build upon the following week. Have questions? Don't hesitate to reach out! Have a more advanced learner? Check out our Impromptu Speaking and/or Debate classes! Have a strong reader? Check out our Level 2 Course where the learners will read one sentence at a time to start: https://outschool.com/classes/lets-tell-a-story-practice-public-speaking-grammar-and-sentence-structure-esl-fr-wrkVX5Fc Note: Your child may want to bring a pen and paper to class, so they can write words they want to remember—writing words helps us with remembering them.
