This class is for students who love to act, laugh, and have fun! I am a professional actor and director who has worked with students all over the world. I enjoy teaching them the skills needed to be a good actor and a lead in the show at their schools and community theatre productions. My acting students are now in NETFLIX original movies and tv shows, along with major roles in national tours and even on Broadway. I also have students who are the lead in the musical, WICKED! *Drop-ins always welcome (sign up any week throughout the semester if spots are available) This class acts as a "club," so it's perfect for students that loved my "Disney Kids" and "Kids on Broadway" class and want to do similar games/activities every week, or for students with improv experience looking to do it more. Students will learn to act out different things and scenes with their other classmates. This class has a lot of fun learning acting techniques from a professional actor and director while building confidence and skills needed to be "a star"! ***Students do not need acting experience to participate in this class. I do a great job of getting even the shyest student out of their shell. I believe anyone can have fun and learn to be a good actor. I work hard as the teacher to build my student's confidence level and promote a positive environment for learning. This is a smaller group club (no more than 6 students in each section), which I find works very well with the amount of games, attention, and practice each student receives. The students tend to really get to know each other and often find new friendships because of the comfortable class setting. Students will learn warm-ups each class, which they can keep in their "Actor Toolbox." We will play multiple games every week, and eventually repeat ones that are favorites. Games will include "Yes, And" techniques, Character Building, Genre, Dialogue, Movement, Props, and even Commercials. Students will be paired up, perform in small groups, and sometimes get to do one-person scenes. We will play with "breakout rooms" on Zoom, where students get to work in small groups to create scenes with a specific category or genre, and then perform them for everyone in the "main room." Sometimes we will do "fast-improv" games that require students to make things up on the spot, and sometimes we may do "slow-improv" games, which give students a little time to plan out fun skits in smaller groups. Each session will be catered to the students in class, because every group is different! I am constantly tweaking the games, inventing new ones that work well with each group, and taking requests from students to make sure the group is having the best possible experience. ***If something comes up, let me know as soon as you can because I may be able to transfer you to a different day that week, if available. week one: August 16th to 22nd - animals & emotions week two: August 23rd to 29th - people & things week three: August 30th to September 5th - places & hobbies week four: September 6th to 12th - work & floor surface

Parental Guidance
Due to this class being a physical activity class, it is important to list the following:
(1.) Hydration - each student needs a water bottle to have water break during the class to stay well-hydrated.
(2.) Space - please make sure there is plenty of space for the student to move freely around without breaking anything. The student should be able to spin, kick, and jump without affecting anything in the room.
(3.) Floor - please make sure there is nothing on the floor that could cause the student to trip and fall.
Even though I do an excellent job with classroom safety, accidents do happen and you should be aware of this. Things like a sore muscle or accidents like tripping and falling can occur.

Hey there! I’m Billy, your child’s creative adventure buddy! Every week, I work to create a fun and supportive space where your child can look forward to learning and growing. I make sure each class is an exciting, safe environment where they can express themselves, make new friends, and build confidence through art.
For over 12 years, I’ve traveled the globe, soaking up vibrant cultures and creative experiences. I’m currently living in Egypt, where I’ve been for 7 years, teaching and inspiring young minds from all over the world.
With 30+ years of experience as an actor, singer, director, and choreographer, I’ve had the chance to teach the kids of movie stars! But my heart belongs to helping kids express themselves through drawing.
I’ve had the privilege of studying animation and storytelling with some of the best in the business—Disney, Nickelodeon, and DreamWorks. Through internships and collaborations, I’ve learned the magic of creating characters, telling stories, and designing visually compelling art, and I bring those lessons into my classes, helping students unlock their own creativity.
I’ve proudly taught on Outschool for over 4 years, and I’m honored to be recognized as a top teaching contributor. My classes blend artistic skills with storytelling, turning each lesson into an adventure. My students have gone on to shine on Broadway, star in TV shows, and become amazing artists themselves!
I hold a Bachelor’s in Performing Arts/Dance and a Master’s in Education. My teaching philosophy? Spark imagination, make learning fun, and encourage kids to grow in confidence and creativity.
I’m so proud of my students and can’t wait to bring that same energy to your child’s creative journey! Let’s explore the world of art together as part of the OUTSCHOOL family!
