It is my #1 goal and priority to build a student's confidence level. Each class I give verbal positive comments to each student. I also will tell students what they need to focus on to become a better singer, dancer, and overall performer.Class Experience
After teaching students how to act, sing, and dance for 3 years on OUTSCHOOL with my similar class, DISNEY KIDS, I am excited to bring you music from the radio: KIDZ BOP! In this class, I used my years of professional acting to teach your student how to sing and dance to their favorite Pop, Rock n Roll, and Country songs from the radio! ***In this class, we do not listen to the original artist and song. All lyrics are approved for this age and clean. We will listen to Kidz Bop, which is easier for our students to sing and approved for lyrics. What can you expect from this class: 1.) The class begins with a dance video for you to enjoy while we wait for all students to join us. 2.)Begin the Class with a quick introduction and hello's to students and teacher. 3.) Vocal and physical Warmup 4.) Listen to our song for the week. 5.) Practice singing our song for the week. We focus on the CHORUS part of the song that is repeated many times in the entire song. 6.)Students may be asked to sing a part in front of their class. (This helps build confidence and get rid of stage fright) 7,) Sing the entire song with the class. 8.) "What is our song for next week?" and "Goodbyes" You can feel free to join us at anytime. The student is given the song of the week in advance. Students who practice singing this song throughout the week will enjoy the class more and will excel further than others. Consider learning our song for the week as your HOMEWORK. I don't think you'll find more fun homework than getting to sing your favorite songs! If you ever need to change your class day and time, send me a TRANSFER REQUEST and I will transfer you immediately with no extra charge. Parental Guidance
It is important to note that this is a dance class and physical injuries could happen.
It is my priority to try and not allow injuries (i.e: twisted ankle, falling, etc) to occur.
Before each class, I take time to warm up the body and the singing voice. I hope this will help students be physically prepared for our fun class.
I do ask for the following:
- plenty of room to move and dance
- wear comfortable clothes to move in
- wear dance shoes or bare feet. Your choice. However, wearing only socks should be avoided as this can increase the chance of slipping and falling.
- water bottle in closed container (this helps prevent spills that can cause a student to slip on the floor)
Overall, I hope we can work together to help prevent injuries from happening. If you think of any additional safety tips, please email them to me.
Supply List
I only require that students wear appropriate dance clothes and shoes, have water to drink, and plenty of room to move around.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
