Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Sarit and I am a professional musician with 25 years of teaching experience in teaching singing, piano, Music Theory (ABRSM and in general) composition and arranging.

I hold a Master's degree in Choral Conducting, Bachelor of Music (1st degree) in Vocal Performances as well as a diploma in piano.

Through the years I have performed frequently as a soloist in concert halls, in a duet with classic guitar and with various orchestras. Among my performances in 2004 I have sang as a soloist in front of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in Rome during a Wednesday Mass. I also worked as a professional piano accompanists to various choirs and soloists. I am currently the musical director of two adult choirs, one based in London, UK and the second in Wiltshire, UK.

Teaching in the UK:
I have been teaching music both in primary and secondary schools in the UK as a music class teacher until I have decided to focus more on private teaching.
Through the years I had more than 200 students, adults and children who I taught piano, singing, sight-reading, and music theory with much success. Although new to Outschool, a quick check over the internet will ravel many reviews about me as a teacher.
Recently two of my piano students have received distinction marks for their grade 6 and 8 in piano as well as an excellent grade for their GCSE in composition (very proud to share that this student received the highest grade among all his peers on that year group). The student submitted two pieces, one a classic piece and a second one in musical theatre style. (final grade 45/50).

One of my compositions was preformed live on BBC Radio 4 by one of the leading vocal ensembles in the UK; St Martin's Voices at St Martin in the Fields (2019).

My passion is teaching music - I love teaching and take a big pride in my students. As mentioned, although new in this specific platform, I have been teaching for years all levels and all ages and it is always a joy. I hope to cultivate the same success I have/had elsewhere in Outschool as well. I look forward to hearing from you in case you are interested in trying out for either singing, piano, music theory lessons, composition/arranging or conducting lessons with me.
