Students will learn the basics of circuit electricity. Students will be introduced to the concept of a circuit. Students will learn the difference between an open circuit and a closed circuit. Students will learn how electricity flows through circuits to make objects work. Students will learn what happens when a circuit is complete, and a circuit is broken. Students will learn about what a conductor and an insulator are. Students will look at real life examples of how circuits work. Students will be asked to come up with one example of how a circuit works in their home.

Students will leave this class understanding how electricity travels through a circuitStudents will understand that circuits are all around them (at home, in school, outdoors etc)
