This course will cover the steps and the requirements to become the President of the United States. We will cover all of the requirements that an individual must meet. We will then examine the journey that a person needs take in order to become president. This journey starts with a person's interest, and ends with the inauguration day. We will look at how primaries work, and what caucuses are. We will also discuss the general election and then wrap up with a discussion about the transition of power.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a New York State certified (grades 1-6) fourth and fifth grade teacher in the Bronx. I specialize in social studies, science and ELA. I have two masters degrees, one in history and one in education. I am a lifelong learner, and have a passion for teaching. I really enjoy exploring science and social studies topics with kids, especially those with ties to current events. I love to read articles with students that inspire learning. Furthermore, I find that active participation and engagement in conversation is an extremely important part of education, and you will see that reflected in my classes.
