Class Experience

The course will begin with a short overview of food chains. We will then read an article on invasive species. We will then discuss the different types of species and how they harm the ecosystem that they are not native too. This course aligns with science standards about food chains and food webs. Students will understand that humans play a major part in the introduction of invasive species to ecosystems. Students will work with the teacher to understand what a disruption in a food chain does to native animals, hence making the invasive species so dangerous to foreign ecosystems.
