Students will be introduced to the concepts of Earth's rotation and Earth's revolutions. Students will study the impact that the movements of the Earth have on the calendar, and also on the daily clock. Students will explore the impact of the revolution of the Earth (around the sun) as it pertains to seasons. Students will explore the impact of rotations of the Earth as it pertains to the daily clock. Students will understand that the movements of the Earth happen at the same time, and it is always the Earth that is moving, not the sun (The myth of the sunrise, and sunset).
