Students will be introduced to the water cycle. Students will learn about evaporation, condensation, precipitation, runoff and ground water. Students will study each part of the water cycle to examine the role it has in recycling water. Students will understand that the term "cycle" refers to a continuous, unbreakable loop of this resource. In each section ( evaporation, condensation, precipitation, runoff and ground water) students will explore real life examples the they can relate to (example, what happens to a puddle in the street after it rains?)

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a New York State certified (grades 1-6) fourth and fifth grade teacher in the Bronx. I specialize in social studies, science and ELA. I have two masters degrees, one in history and one in education. I am a lifelong learner, and have a passion for teaching. I really enjoy exploring science and social studies topics with kids, especially those with ties to current events. I love to read articles with students that inspire learning. Furthermore, I find that active participation and engagement in conversation is an extremely important part of education, and you will see that reflected in my classes.
