6 lessons//2 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Foundations and PatternsYou will delve into the foundational language of algebra, mastering essential terms and understand the concept of the Highest Common Factor (HCF). Additionally, you will learn to identify patterns inherent in expressions such as a^2-b^2 and utilize them to simplify algebraic expressions efficiently.Lesson 2Grouping and Cross MethodThis topic covers two key algebraic techniques. First, the Grouping Method teaches rearranging terms and identifying common factors. Second, the Cross Method focuses on factorizing quadratic expressions efficiently. Mastering these methods is essential for algebraic problem-solving.Lesson 3Completing the Square Method and Quadratic FormulaYou'll learn the Completing the Square Method, which transforms equations into perfect square trinomials, and the Quadratic Formula for finding roots directly. These methods are crucial for solving quadratic equations efficiently.Week 2Lesson 4Factorization Strategy: Technique Review and SelectionYou'll review methods like pattern recognition, difference between two squares, grouping, and cross methods. Additionally, you'll learn how to choose the most suitable technique for a given algebraic expression, enhancing your ability to factorize expressions effectively.Lesson 5Revision and In-Class AssessmentIn this session, we'll conduct a comprehensive review of the material covered so far and address any lingering questions or concerns you may have. Additionally, we'll administer an in-class assessment to gauge your mastery of the material. This assessment will help us identify areas where you excel and areas that may require additional focus as we prepare for the final lesson.Lesson 6Feedback and Personalized Improvement PlanIn our final session together, we'll provide personalized feedback based on your performance in the in-class assessment. You'll receive detailed insights into your strengths and areas for improvement, along with a customized improvement plan tailored to your individual needs.

Homework Offered
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
During the last session, there will be an in-class assessment to evaluate if each student achieved their individual goals. The assessment is recommended for all students.Grades Offered
An in-class assessment will be conducted during the 5th session of the course. Students will be evaluated on their understanding and application of the topics covered thus far. Following the assessment, I will personally mark each student's work and provide detailed feedback, along with a personalized improvement plan. This feedback will help students understand their strengths and areas for growth, guiding them towards further improvement and success in the course.
There is no make-up session for any missed classes, and no refund will be provided for unproductive sessions caused by math materials not being shared by the parent/student before the sessions.
All course materials, including concept summary notes and math questions, are based on the US math curriculum and will be provided to students.
