🎉 New to Outschool? Use code COURTNEY2020 to save $20 🎉 It isn't required but I recommend purchasing Spectrum Algebra 1 Workbook or Ebook. We will work through this resource. Spectrum’s algebra workbook is a great way for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders to learn essential algebra skills such as algebraic equations, graphing, rational and irrational numbers, and more through a variety of problem-solving activities that are both fun AND educational! The order in which units are covered is subject to change at the instructors discretion but this will not affect the curriculum covered. Class Structure/Experience: Students will learn and practice NEW concepts weekly. I will review submissions and provide individual feedback to ensure students are mastering the concepts. Teaching Style: Student-Centered !!! LOTS of interactive activities, games and discussions !!! Research proves that a student-centered instructional model is key to learning! Interaction Level: Medium to High !!! Students will have an opportunity to engage with me via their learner chat! It is my first priority to ensure the safety of all students so open classroom chat will be limited. All interactive activities are selected to maximize learning while providing a safe environment to do so!

Parental Guidance
External resources will be used to enhance learning. These resources will be used during class time via screen share or during independent work time. Some external resources used will require student accounts which will be activated and assigned by the teacher at no additional cost to you. The teacher will assign generic (no personal identifiers) username/passwords for each student. The student will only have access to their generic accounts while enrolled in my course.
