~Welcome to Ms. Jodi's Waldorf Classroom~ Enter the world of Waldorf education, gifting your child with a relaxed, beautiful space to grow in reading skills while receiving an elite private school education at home! In this private guided reading course, I work 1:1 with students on phonics, reading comprehension, multisyllabic words, and grammar skills through beautiful stories, drawing, and writing work. I work with beginning, struggling, grade level, or gifted readers, helping students to feel confident and to love reading. I also do novel studies with vocabulary, comprehension, and character analysis for older students. Come and join me for a private reading session that will include books for your individual child's interests... dogs, cats, horses, holidays, superheroes, dinosaurs, princesses, mythological creatures... as I work to find books that work with your student's interests and reading level to keep them feeling successful, peaceful, and happy with reading. In all of my classes, I use evidence-based strategies that work for all students including those with reading difficulties and dyslexia. I keep children engaged and excited to participate throughout the lesson. For older learners, I will assess a student's reading level in our first session and work from there. We will read stories, answer comprehension questions, draw as a pre-writing activity, write sentences and read what we write. Parents will receive a weekly update sharing what we did in our class together and can monitor progress at any time. I will do a reading assessment in our first class together and parents will receive the results. Perfect for homeschool evaluations. This class is perfect for a Waldorf homeschooler or a Waldorf student who would like to supplement or families looking to learn using Waldorf methods (whether struggling or advanced). Class Structure: (varies according to age) ~Specific work on targeted sounds/phonemes/vowels ~Guided Reading Practice ~Drawing from story ~Writing practice ~Fluency strategies for older students ~Novel study with vocabulary and comprehension and grammar activities for older students I always work at the best pace for the individual students and cater all classes to their individual strengths and weaknesses. My goal is for students to feel successful so they want to keep reading and writing. I have worked with thousands of students around the world both in person and on online to help them to feel confident and peaceful in reading and to help them to choose books that they love.

This class is highly engaging and Ms. Jodi has worked with thousands of students with special needs including ADHD, autism, apraxia, dyspraxia, dysarthria, etc. Ms. Jodi is patient and adapts every lesson to the individual child.
父母的引導和規範
I may use Epic for screenshare. Parents do not need a subscription to Epic. Books will be chosen based on the students reading level and will include educational topics like animals, folktales, or interesting stories for grades 1-5. Books and novels for older students will be chosen with parent permission.

I am a Waldorf educator having worked as a school librarian and library/research subject teacher for 6 years with grades K-12 as faculty at a Waldorf school in rural Pennsylvania. I also worked as the first grade rest time teacher bringing calm and beautiful stories to this grade every day for many years. I have trained, been mentored by, and served along with some of the most experienced and dedicated Waldorf class and subject teachers in the world, some of whom have passed on and given me the greatest gift possible...to see their joy in teaching young souls. I also served as the reading coach for our school Reading Olympics team with over 40 students per year voluntarily coming to my library for an extracurricular where students were excited to read over 45 books a school year!
I have been offering comprehensive and affordable private lessons for Waldorf and other students around the world for several years. I also offer special Waldorf grades classes where students can connect with other students around the world. Our comfort with zoom now allows me to come to you no matter where in the world you may be! From day one, my students notice the improvement in their abilities and overall comprehension but parents especially note the change in their confidence. I get letters every day from parents telling me how much they see the confidence in their student improving after working with me. I have also taken private courses in archetypes for several years and studied the work of Carl Jung as a B.S. Psychology student. I am also a published writer in the Waldorf publication LILIPOH magazine. I lived on a Navajo reservation for several summers. I also have Masters classes in Library Science, Human Services, as well as diversity training. I ran a middle and high school library at the Waldorf school where I taught creative writing, library, and research classes for six years. I also worked in the Waldorf kindergarten and grades as an aftercare teacher.
