Let's meet the British Royal Family. The Queen is the most recognised woman on the planet and she has a rather large family. When you come to London, you might be lucky to see her or a member of her family as they drive past on their way to perform their duties. We will learn who they are, what they do, where they live, and more! This is a cross between a history class and a virtual tour! Perfect for students without any background knowledge, geared to make history fun and interesting. In addition to lots of facts, students are encouraged to think critically and discuss in class various topics we cover. At the end, a pop quiz will help students recall the facts they have learned in the class. The instructor will teach using discussion, slides, images and an interactive map. Students are encouraged to ask questions along the way.

* Students will be able to name the members of the British Royal Family
* Students will learn where the Queen lives and where some of her children live
* Students will be able to identify the line of succession and explain who is next to the throne
* Students will be able to discover using Google Maps the palaces and residence used by the royal family

Students may wish to have paper, pencils or pens available to take notes or make drawings. Zoom annotation will be used during class.
Please note: we will not be covering any difficult subjects or gossip-related topics that might be negative to the discussion.
