Join me on an amazing journey through Ellis Island, where we'll explore the fascinating history of immigration to America. In this interactive class for learners aged 6 to 9, no prior knowledge or experience is necessary.

Over two engaging 55-minute classes, we'll cover a wide range of topics. First, we'll delve into the purpose of Ellis Island and the various reasons why immigrants left their homelands, discussing both voluntary and involuntary migration. We'll explore the challenges immigrants faced before and after leaving their homeland, along with the different transportation methods they used to reach America.

During pour exploration, we'll dive into the gripping journey undertaken by immigrants as they sought to reach America. We'll uncover the obstacles and hardships they faced while leaving their countries, including the reasons behind their departure. Learners will discover the diverse modes of transportation utilized, from crowed ships crossing vast oceans to cramped quarters where families endured long and treacherous voyages. We'll delve into the conditions aboard these ships, exploring the limited space, meager meals, and the challenges of sleeping arrangments. By understanding the perils and sacrifices endured during these arduous journeys, learners will gain a profound appreciation for the resilience and determination of those who sought a new life in the United States.

Classed are structured to be highly interactive and immersive. Through lively discussions, captivating stories, and exciting activities, learners will actively participate and engage with the material. I use a student-centered teaching style, encouraging questions, curiosity, and creative thinking.

Learners will have plenty of opportunities to interact with the content. We'll examine the experiences of immigrants upon arrival at Ellis Island, discussing topics such as jobs, family, and housing situations. Learners will discover what happened when someone was detained and learn about the sleeping arrangement and meals provided during their stay.

By the end of the class, learners will have a comprehensive understanding of what the immigration process was once like, the conditions at Ellis Island, and the challenges faced by immigrants. Join us as we bring history to life and empower young minds to appreciate the journeys and stories of those who sought a new life in America.
