Welcome to Counting Club! This is an ongoing class where we will practice counting and writing numbers from 0 to 20. We will meet once a week for 25 minutes. Each week we will count several different objects (animals, plants, food, shapes, clouds, etc.) out loud together. We will also practice writing some of these numbers. There will be worksheets posted in the classroom to use for practice after each lesson if desired. We will end each lesson with a fun counting song. An example of how the class will be structured:

1. Welcome and introduction to the day: 5 minutes
2. Counting and number writing practice: 15 minutes
3. Counting song and wrap-up: 5 minutes

We will practice our counting 0-20 during each meeting. The numbers we practice writing each week are listed below. Content of this class will repeat after 10 meetings.

Week of January 26-February 1: Animals; Write 0-2
Week of February 2-8: Fall; Write 3-4
Week of February 9-15: Weather; Write 5-6
Week of February 16-22: Beach; Write 7-8
Week of February 23-March 1: Farm; Write 9-10
Week of March 2-8: Winter; Write 11-12
Week of March 9-15: Camping; Write 13-14
Week of March 16-22: Sports; Write 15-16
***March 23-29 off for Spring Break***
Week of March 30-April 5: Shapes; Write 17-18
Week of April 6-12: Foods; Write 19-20

As well as working on counting and writing skills, this class will help students practice taking turns, listening to the teacher, and build confidence in a setting of peers their own age.
