Using Steve Sheinkin's youth history book as an outline, we will learn the story of the men who tried to steal Lincoln's body for ransom. This book offers a brief history of money and counterfeiting, the history of U.S. Secret Service, and the hunt for the men responsible for the crime. The story revolves around Secret Service Agent, Patrick Tyrell, and his efforts to infiltrate a ring of counterfeiters based in Chicago. The book considers how the thugs operated, why they tried to steal Lincoln's body, and how the events unfolded.

This course aims to be a fun and engaging look into a mostly unknown chapter in American History. We will use slides and a question and answer/seminar format, short video clips, and a Kahoot quiz.其他詳情
