Multiply Like a Master! 2-Day Times Table Boot Camp

Here’s a fun, fast-paced, and high-impact 2-day multiplication camp for learners who need to master their multiplication tables quickly. This is perfect for an Outschool class targeting learners in Grades 3–5 (ages 8–11), focusing on memorization strategies, games, and confidence building.

Course Overview:

This two-day high-energy boot camp will help students master their multiplication facts (1–12) using patterns, tricks, games, and movement. We’ll use chants, visuals, timed challenges, and collaborative activities to make memorization fun and effective. Perfect for students who are just learning or need a confidence boost!

Goals:

	•	Learn key multiplication patterns and strategies

	•	Build fluency and speed with multiplication facts

	•	Practice using fun, interactive methods

	•	Gain confidence in solving times tables quickly


DAY 1: Patterns, Tricks & Power 1–5 Tables
Focus: 0s, 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s

Schedule:

	1.	Welcome & Icebreaker (5 min)

	•	Multiplication Name Game: “Hi, I’m 3 x 4 = 12 Jake!”

	2.	Quick Times Table Pre-Challenge (5 min)

	•	Digital quiz or flashcard warm-up (just for fun, no grading)

	3.	Learn & Practice: 0–5 Times Tables (20 min)

	•	0s & 1s – Easy wins!

	•	2s & 4s – Use doubling tricks

	•	3s – Clapping chant

	•	5s – Clock and hand tricks

	•	Use chanting, body movement, and rhythm to lock in facts


	4.	Game Time: Speed Rounds (10 min)

	•	“Times Table Toss” – Each student answers a flashcard challenge when their name is called

	•	“Fact Match” – Use arrays to match math facts

	5.	Wrap-Up & Challenge Task (10 min)

	•	Homework Challenge: Make or bring a mini multiplication table or flashcards for 


DAY 2
Day 2: Fast Facts & Mastery 6–12
Focus: 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s

Schedule:

	1.	Welcome Back & Flash Review (5 min)

	•	Call-and-response warm-up using 1–5s

	2.	Learn & Practice: 6–12 Times Tables (25 min)

	•	6s & 8s – Double and double again trick

	•	7s – Skip-count song

	•	9s – Finger trick + pattern chart

	•	10s & 11s – Number magic

	•	12s – Use doubling + 10s strategy

	•	Students write 3 facts per table as we learn

	3.	Power Round Game: Beat the Clock (10 min)

	•	Use flashcard timers and games
	•	Partner or group challenge (teacher vs. student is always fun!)

	4.	Final Multiplication Showdown (5 min)

	•	Students race to fill in a blank multiplication chart with key facts

	5.	Wrap-Up & Multiplication Motivation (5 min)

	•	Share 1 trick that helped the most

	•	Award printable “Multiplication Master” Certificate

	•	Encourage daily 5-minute practice
